IPS and RIF e.V. successfully presented its joint research project with Audi at “Pro.Motion 2024”. The event provided a platform for an intensive exchange between science and industry and presented pioneering solutions in the field of production planning.or.

On September 24, 2024, the “Pro.Motion” doctoral student day of the Audi doctoral student network took place under the motto "Audi x Academia". The event brought together high-ranking representatives of Audi AG, including members of the Board of Management, managers and works council members, as well as professors and doctoral students from various brands of the VW Group. The aim of the event was to intensify the exchange between science and industry and to promote joint research projects.

At the beginning of the event, the Audi doctoral network presented its work and successes to date, followed by welcoming remarks from the Board Member for Human Resources, Xavier Ros, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between science and industry. Three selected research topics were then presented.

A central element of the agenda was the presentation of the joint research project between IPS, RIF e.V. and Audi: “Datascience in the IE: AI assistance system for the plausibility check, correction and creation of production plans”. This project focuses on simplifying and accelerating the planning process in production, especially manual activities, through the use of artificial intelligence (AI). The presentation emphasized the close collaboration between science and industry to develop innovative solutions for production planning.

The presentations were followed by a lively discussion on artificial intelligence, during which participants shared their experiences and discussed the potential for future developments.

The subsequent poster tour and in-depth deep dive sessions gave participants the opportunity to further discuss current projects and intensify the professional exchange.
