Pragmatic approaches for the application of artificial intelligence in the context of technical cleanliness
- 2021_en
The CEC once again welcomed interested participants to the TecSa-TALK with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI). The moderator Wolfgang Hess once again led the two invited discussion partners Dr.-Ing. Ronny Zwinkau (Institute for Production Systems (IPS) at TU Dortmund University) and Tobias Oberrauch (KI Bundesverband e.V.) through the exchange in an entertaining manner.
The discussion covered important key points on the topic:
- Processes are becoming increasingly complex and are often no longer comprehensible in detail for employees
- AI can preserve company knowledge in the long term
- Introduction of AI proves to be very individual with variable cost structure
- Image classification can already be implemented in the context of technical cleanliness
- In technical cleanliness, the use of AI is conceivable for the determination of the origin of particles, for the automation of extraction processes to minimise the effort required for manual follow-up checks.
- With SySPOT, a research project for AI-supported cleaning processes has been initiated.
- Data collection forms the foundation for AI methods
- Process optimisation and added value are decisive criteria for the use of AI
- Digitisation in technical cleanliness must be further advanced
- The IPS and the CEC will continue to provide a platform for AI in technical cleanliness.
