On May 21 & 22, 2019 the kick-off meeting of the joint research project AKKORD took place in Dortmund during a two-day event.

The goal of the project is to enable companies to profitably apply data analysis - both within the company and across value-added networks. For this purpose, an online platform will be developed, which includes solutions for comprehensive data integration as well as easy-to-use, standardized data analysis modules and dashboards. In addition, the development and provision of modules for competence analysis and competence acquisition will lay the foundation for a targeted expansion of employees' competence in the area of data analysis. The results of the AKKORD project are elaborated by the application partners Volkswagen, Miele, ERCO, Brabant & Lehnert, the development partners RapidMiner, PDTec, AREND, Neocosmo, Contact Software, mosaiic and the research partners VPE, DFKI, FdT, IPS.

At the kick-off meeting, the hosts IPS (project coordinator) and RapidMiner (consortium leader) welcomed 38 participants from the project partners and the project management agency PTKA at the TU Dortmund University. Besides organizational issues, the meeting was used to identify and design project-related use cases and to initiate agile, use case based collaboration in small groups. The meeting was rounded off by a joint tour of the IoT laboratory of the IPS, where current research work of the institute was presented.

Further information about the AKKORD project and the kick-off meeting will be published on the project homepage shortly.
