With insights into the Cyber-Physical brewery, the DaPro and ML2KMU projects are dedicated to questions of transparency and comprehensibility of AI systems as a basis for their acceptance and applicability. To this end, key issues of socio-digital sovereignty will be discussed in a co-creation workshop on 01.12.21 using the tangible example of ML-based recipe optimisation in the pilot brewery.

How can we sensibly further develop the digitalisation of companies so that there is a high degree of transparency of the technical systems, sufficient security of action and maximum degrees of freedom of action for the employees as well as for the company? The two-day online symposium of the Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) is dedicated to this central question on 30.11. and 01.12.2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in each case.

Experts from business and science will provide important impulses for correctly assessing the importance of digital sovereignty for the entire company and also specifically for the skilled workers in the workshop. Discuss with them very practical questions about data exchange, contract protection or technical solutions. Approaches for sovereign and legally secure action with platforms, value-added providers and services will be presented. Get fit for the management tasks in your company. In a co-creation workshop, concrete use cases from industry will be used to develop criteria with which you can better evaluate applications in your own company. In addition, the question will be answered as to how technology development and application can be sensibly designed and how, for example, artificial intelligence can be made explainable and controllable.

The event is aimed equally at companies, research institutions and political institutions.
