In the next two years, we will collaborate with our research partner MTM ASSOCIATION e.V. to explore a simplified and (partially) automated method for conducting ergonomic and time analysis of manual processes.

After a successful project kickoff in April, the first meeting of the Project Accompanying Committee (PA) took place at the RIF e.V. in Dortmund last week on May 23, 2023. Together with our partner institute MTM ASSOCIATION e.V. we combine our joint expertise in the areas of process description and evaluation, motion capture, and machine learning.

The PA consists of various companies from the business sector, ranging from software manufacturers and industry associations to manufacturing companies. During the initial meeting at the IPS premises, the participating companies gathered to learn more about the project and define practical requirements.

The meeting concluded with a visit to our cyber-physical brewing laboratory. This provided an opportunity to experience firsthand new cross-industry developments and engage in networking and exchange during a small tasting session.

The insights gained from the project meeting will directly influence the development work of the research partners, making an important contribution to achieving the intended project goal in a practical manner. This ensures immediate economic benefits, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.

We appreciate the commitment of the companies represented in the PA and welcome further interested parties to join the project. For more information, please visit our project homepage or contact us. We look forward to a lively dialog.
