The software demonstrator developed within the research project Pro-Kom is now available online. The application brings together the concepts and models created for competency assessment and forecasting in an interactive web-based demonstrator that makes the project results tangible and ready for practical use.

The Pro-Kom research project aimed to systematically and transparently represent the analysis and development of competencies, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, and to forecast future developments. The methodological approaches developed in the project have been transferred into a digital tool that is now publicly accessible as a demonstrator application. This web-based solution enables a structured collection and comparison of required versus existing competencies. Building on this foundation, the system performs dynamic analyses and offers innovative functionalities including similarity analyses between competency profiles as well as forecasting features that support strategic human resource development and action planning.

The underlying model links industry-specific trends with company-related influencing factors. This allows competency requirements to be analyzed not only based on their current status but also with consideration of future developments. The goal is to help companies plan their competency structures proactively in a changing world of work and ensure sustainable competitiveness.

The application demonstrates its functionalities using a provided test dataset that allows users to explore key analysis and forecasting mechanisms. In addition, users can generate or import their own data to perform individual evaluations and assess the potential of the tool for their own competency management.
