About the Person
Jochen Deuse studied mechanical engineering at the University of Dortmund from 1988 to 1994 with additional studies in manufacturing technology at the University of Limerick, Ireland, and earned his doctorate at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University from 1994 to 1998. From 1998 to 2005, he worked for the Bosch Group in a variety of management positions. He is head of the Institute for Production Systems (IPS) at the Technical University of Dortmund and has held the professorship for Work and Production Systems (APS) since 2005. Since 2019, he additionally holds a professorship at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, School of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering and is Director of the "Centre for Advanced Manufacturing" at UTS since 2020.
