Completion event of the research project AIM
- 2019_en
The invitation was accepted by the members of the project consortium (MTM, Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, vitesco technologies), the associated partner BGHM and the project sponsor Karlsruhe. During the final event, the project results were presented by the consortium members. The aim of the development of the assistance system was the use of smart devices for context-sensitive work support as a new component of occupational health management. Based on this, a mobile assistance system was developed for the integration of BGF measures into the daily work routine. The use of this system consists in particular in the flexible provision of health-promoting and execution-critical information, whereby the employee should have access to the provided information at any time. To ensure sufficient user-friendliness, the assistance system was transferred into an app that can be used in combination with various smart devices (smart watches worn on the wrists and a smart phone attached to the hip). Using the smart devices, the app records relevant movement data (body and arm movements) of the employee. This data is transferred into individual health-promoting information for the employee on the basis of developed evaluation algorithms.
A highlight of the final event was the live demonstration of the developed assistance system in the IPS training center. The guests of the closing event were able to experience the assistance system in its application during an assembly process and familiarize themselves with the operation of the developed app.
The IPS would like to thank all members of the project consortium, the associated partners and the project management agency Karlsruhe for their participation and for the cooperative and constructive collaboration over the past four years.
